l know that theres gonna be a new camaro but im still wondering if pontiac is thinkin about restoring or bringing back the trans am or jus firebird in general

That will depend on how well Camaro sales will be? who knows as Chevy is bringing the Camaro back at the worst economic time in any of our lives. If they sell (Camaro) than GM may consider bringing back the the Firebird later in a few years?? Who knows?

As of this moment Pontiac is saying they would like to have a new Firebird. GM corporate is saying 'not at this time'.

No, the powers that be said from day 1 there will not be a new trans am, PERIOD. A few years ago GM said the new Camaro was unlikely but the Firebird/Trans Am was a definite no. This is not the 60 is anymore, there would be no point for another Trans Am.unfortunately. :(

In this current economic climate, the last thing from GM is mind is releasing a niche/boutique car like the Trans Am (or the Firebird for that matter).
