it has a broken head gasket and l dont think anyone would wanna buy it! The coolant gets extra hot and leaks out when l press on the gas..i can only drive five minutes, re-filling it with water everywhere.
even if youre not exactly sure...any estimates?

A head gasket is a really easy fix for someone fairly mechanically inclined, sell it as a mechanics special on Craigslist. Take off about 1/3 of the price you'd charge if it was running fine and start there.

It would be worth the $300 to get a new head gasket put on it. If you did that you can get alot more use out of the car which would be much better value than scrapping it.

Junk yards will buy your car for about $50 to $100 for scrap value. Then they take parts off and sell what they can.

Ive heard on average 500.00. Pull the cats off you would get a little chunk just for them. Scraps always high during wartime.

They are paying 11 cents/lb for scrap cars here. If you have not driven it too much and cooked the engine, I'd do what everyone else is saying and either fix it or sell it to someone that will.

Grand Am, Grand Prix or Montana? 3.4 engines are easily replaced for a $1000 to $1500 or fixed $500 plus.

The Grand Prix would bring up to $1500 if in good shape as a fixer-upper; or I've seen $500 'cuz scrap is worth a lot right now.

Montana has scrap value only, and the Grand Am is significantly less.

People hang around outside scrapyards and offer you $350 as you are about to go in!
