somebody told me that it does but l do not think so l have bean using Mobil 1 10W30 High Mileage with a AC/Delco oil filter l have bean using this combo for about 6,000 miles and no problems. l do not think l need a specific filter but what do you think?. My oil pressure is at 35 psi at idle with the engine up to operating temp and the pressure goes up to 82 psi at 5,000 rpm is this to high? these readings were taken after the oil filter at the oil cooler l did an in line test. the engine is a 3.1L V6 with 167,000 miles. l think everybody knows my car its a 1993 Pontiac grand prix I've posted lots of questions about it LOL.

yes , l use 10 W 30 in my 2005 , and l do use a mobil 1 synthetic oil filter, also l delete one quart of oil and use Lucus , for synthetic oil.

that filter will work fine, and yes l would use one qt of lucas,as well on out 18 wheelers we use it by the cases.. l pretty much am a believer in all lucas products,

tha filter is fine l have heard that its a good idea to change tha filter 3000 miles, just tha filter and then tha oil at tha 6000 mark but ive been doing it waiting tha full 6000 but nothing bad has happened. also l am a believer in tha lucas my GP had a low end know very sight l put that in and was impressed. it went away havent heard it since. For ur filter question - unless you're driving in dusty conditions, any filter should be fine in that engine for that drain interval.
It sounds like u have lots of oil pressure, so l would not bother with any extra additives. New motor oils r already quite a blend of base oils & additives (with additives making up anywhere from 10-40% by volume). These oils r carefully blended so that the additive package works together as intended, providing a proper amount of detergency & viscosity among other properties. Personally l do not like to play chemist - that is what the oil companies do, & that is why there r so many different oils to choose from.
l do agree that Lucas products have their place, & can work well, but if ur engine is performing well with the current product in there, then u may as well stick with it. Lucas is quite thick, & will likely cause a substantial increase in oil pressure.
If u do happen to drive in unusually dusty conditions on a regular basis, u may consider changing the filter around 3,000 mile intervals.
Using a good quality air filter will also help to keep things cleaner.

l use Mobil 1 5w30 on all of my cars and l always use an AC Delco Oil filter. To make you feel better my 2006 Chevy SSR comes from the factory with 5w30 Mobil 1 and it has an AC Delco Filter straight from the factory. So no worries!

oil filters are specific to the vehilcle only. you can use whatever kind of oil you want
