Why would they use the 6.0L Vortec and not the LS2? It is stupid. l would gladly pay the extra thousand dollars for an LS2, especially because it has 45 more hp. Every hot rodder l know would pay a grand for 45 more hp.

l do not think Pontiac is allowed to use the LS2, it might be reserved for Chevy, and l think they wanted to keep the price down a little. They also put alot if management things in the car, like active fuel management, and something that can open the valves to give you more performance.

The G8 is not really aimed at people who would drag race, or feel it is important to blabber about how much hp their car has. It is going to priced higher than guys like you would pay. At least that is what l think. It is a sedan. Heck, it is a foreign sedan.
