can you put th350 into a pontiac firebird formula? how?

its simple find one that will bolt up to the engine you have,you did not give an engine size ,but any formula fire bird can have a 350 th, put in it, you have to have the tools to work with though,good luck on it.

A little more info on the car might help. engine size / year/ what trans is in it now? A th350 will bolt up to any sbc without much work . Get a manual if you don`t know how to re and re a trans. It will be worth the $20

YES THAT WILL BOLT IN , BUT THERE ARE OTHER THINGS TO CONSIDER . HOW LONG IS YOUR TRANNY IN THERE NOW ?A TH 400 IS ABOUT 3/ 4 '' LONGER THAN A TH 350 . ALSO THE YOKES ON A TH 350 IS DIFFERENT THAN A TH 400 . IN OTHER WORDS YOU MIGHT HAVE TO CHANGE OUT THE DRIVE SHAFT BECAUSE OF LENGTH OR CHANGE OUT THE YOKE ON YOUR DRIVE SHAFT . IF YOU NOW HAVE A AUTOMATIC , HOW DO YOU GO INTO PASSING GEAR ? A TH 350 REQUIRES A CABLE TO RUN TO YOUR CARB. LINKAGE . IT GOES INTO THE TOP PASSENGER FRONT SIDE OF TRANNY . YOU DON'T GIVE THE YEAR OF CAR , IS YOUR TRANNY HOOKED TO A COMPUTER ? IF YOU USE A LOCK UP CONVERTER IT HAS A 4 WIRE PLUG IN ON THE DRIVERS SIDE OF TRANNY ABOUT 2 / 3 WAY BACK . yes, but it needs to be modified for the Pontiac engine (slightly diff from Chevy)

If your car is a 2002, or something that never came that way, then you might want to fab up a transmission mount. Still easy, though.

82-92 f-body cars will need the 6 inch tail shaft on the tranny, or a 200r4 drive shaft. plus you will need the kit from summit or jegs for the torque arm mounts+ you will need more $ for the additional gas your going to be burning with out having the over drive that was on your 700r4 trans and gas being OVER $ 3 BUCKS A GALLON! but on a good note a th350 cost bout half of a 700r4 good luck

Are you talking about a SBC or Poncho motor. I'd put a 400 Pontiac motor inside the engine bay.
